NYC Direct Cremation Service Charge $1195.00.
This fee is for the transport of the body from a Hospital or Medical Examiner Facility to our location, preparation and submission of a certificate of death to NYC Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene, or Registrar of Vital Statistics. Our $1195.00 Direct Cremation includes transfer from location of deceased to our facility, a cardboard alternative container, and transport to the Crematory at The Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx. Add $512.00 for the Cremation performed at Woodlawn - Including Mailing of Cremains. There will be a Permit Fee of $40.00 for Deaths originating in NYC (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island), and a $23.75 shipping and handling fee from NYC DOHMH. . If you instruct City Funeral Service to order a copy of a Death Certificate, they are $15.00 each for NYC Expirations,. Cremains are returned to you in a simple plastic container via the US Postal Service.
